After years of working in the food service industry and for event companies, I decided to focus on starting my own catering business. Partnering with a colleague we began renting kitchen space from several different companies. As our business grew so did the need for our own space, because our work was so seasonal, we decided to open a retail store to compliment our catering business. I fell in love with a location I found in the historic west village. The store front was part of a block of small privately owned businesses some of which had been in the community for decades. Out Of The Kitchen! opened its doors in October of 1995. We created a menu with the freshest ingredients and favorite recipes of family and friends. The most rewarding part of creating this business has been seeing the familiar faces each day. Our customers have embraced us with thier loyality and friendship, and after almost a decade i feel so much a part of this neighborhood, I fell in love with all those years ago. As we prepare to celebrate our tenth anniversary next year look for some exciting new changes here at Out Of The Kitchen! My partner has moved on but I am working with a fresh creative team. New menus items, special occasion baskets and gifts, and a whole new look are just some of the plans we have started to put into place. Please stop by and let us know what you think!
